Naz Parker is a Senior IT Professional and Microsoft Infrastructure Evangelist with a combined experience of over 15 years in Retail and Financial Services.He currently serves as Manager of the SharePoint Shared Service for Sanlam IT Infrastructure Shared Services (ITISS) in The Sanlam Group, one of South Africa’s leading Financial Services companies listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

He's responsible for the operational management of the Sanlam Group's SharePoint 2010 Shared Service which he established. His role also includes vendor management, consultation, governance, assisting with solution design, risk and lifecycle management, and technical and financial roadmap planning, From 2007 to 2010 he served as the Microsoft Infrastructure Architect and continues to be a key resource on projects. He is the author of various technology documents including those for use in RFP’s and RFI’s for outsourced services and new products.

Prior to joining Sanlam, Naz held roles in the retail industry, most notably the years he spent at The Foschini Retail Group during their implementation the new Microsoft-based Point-of-Sale System. He was also involved in upgrading Oil Company Shell’s POS and the roll-out of their e-Fuel System. In his earlier IT years he defined the head-office and regional POS IT infrastructure for e-Commerce start-up TranZact as well as the transformation to IT for a specialist private auto parts retailer in the North West of South Africa.
